I'm only writing a review because when I was looking, I couldn't find one that answered my question from someone like me. Someone who is tall and a Heavy weight! Yes it's strong enough for us. You'll have to bend your knees but yes it's tall enough . So here's my personal break down. I use it for pull ups , chin ups and neutral grip pulls , inverted rows , dips and deeper push ups . I don't do all of those other exercises. Just the basics. Pros strong and easy to assemble. Easy to take apart and store. I( live in a MANHATTAN apartment. So I need my space ) Fast delivery / Good price It doesn't wobble much. If you use strict form it doesn't wobble at all. You can perform pull ups chins and neutral grip. The dip bar is tall . Cons ( All of these are a small sacrifice for what you get ) You will need to bend your knees for pull ups. But I'm 6'2"and I have long arms and my knees dont hit the ground even with full extension. You'll probably need gloves. Your hands may bother you if you're not used to the raw steel. But simple gloves fit work just fine. If you like circuit work or super sets you'll have to adjust to not being able to switch from pull ups to dips fast. The bag doesn't seem to be super sturdy but so far it's working. I only had this for less than a month so I'll be back to update if I have issues down the line but so far I love it. Strongly recommend!
I purchased this equipment as a present for my son, he is using this regularly as a great addition to us upper body workout regime.
Pull-ups are essential to my wellbeing. If you're like me, you get really grumpy when you can't do them. I bought the Muscleup rack for the portability factor, fully aware that this thing would have some wobble. Right out of the box, it's exactly what I expected. The metal has a nice heft to it; this is not a cheap piece of kit. With all of that said, this is actually a great pull up bar. It's very secure, even with two missing base pins. I knocked out 20 reps right after finishing the assembly. There's not so much a wobble as there is shear stress on the joints, which, again, is expected. If GoBeast replaces the base upright bars, that would be sweet, and I'd definitely give this a five-star rating. Pros: It's portable. It has a relatively small footprint compared to most freestanding bars. It's strong. Cons: Fabrication needs work. It's made in China. Packaging uses styrofoam. I'll update this review in the future.
Very happy with the MuscleUp rack! I’m 6’2” 220 and I was a little skeptical at first as to how wobbly it would be and how far down my knees would hang but it’s not bad at all. It doesn't move much at all. Not like I’m swinging or kicking my legs or anything. It went together in 10mins. Some people said they had problems with the holes not lining up but I had no issue with that. With acception to putting the very top pull up bar on, you just have to kind of wiggle and shift it all as there is some play but not much. All the parts and pieces were there and the clip pins came in there own little nylon bag. The duffle bag that came with looks very durable and is a nice feature. In regards to the paint, I read some people had some problems but I don’t see any issue with that at all. It just doesn’t scrape off when using it or with your fingernail ha. It’s just where the poles go together from switching to pull up to dips and you never see that anyway and that doesn’t bother me at all. Again, I’ve been using this everyday since I received it and can’t explain how much I look forward to using it each day.
So glad I made this investment! I hung my aerial yoga hammock on the small bars that connect the base with the pull up bar.* Now I'm able to do inversions and stretches without tearing up the apartment! As long as I move slowly to get good stretches, the MuscleUp rack feels sturdy and stable. When doing pull ups, it helps to use gloves with grips. I do recommend purchasing 4 additional lock pins for the base (since there are holes, and it will provide peace of mind). *How: I looped the material through the carabiner and locked it. Same with the straps. I do a pull up to get myself up onto the swing. Works for me!
